Why we make light
Our purpose is to unlock the extraordinary potential of light for brighter lives and a better world.
Autar is a lighting and electricals manufacturer working out of Dadri, in G.B. Nagar. We design and build energy-efficient LED lamps and fittings, and the fans that go up alongside them, for consumers and for the trade that supplies them.
The range starts at half a watt and ends at a hundred. It is deliberately narrow — a handful of things, made properly, in wattages people actually ask for.

Half a watt to a hundred
Pick the wattage, not the wattage you had before.
A 9W LED does the work of the 60W incandescent it replaces. The ladder below is the whole Autar range, end to end — from the 0.5W Jugnu that sits in a bedroom socket all night to the 100W flood light over a godown yard.

Built to outlast the box
Aluminium heat sinks on the lamps, die-cast housings and toughened glass on the flood lights, powder-coated blades on the fans. The parts that fail first are the parts we spend on.

Tested before it leaves Dadri
Every fitting is made and checked against the safety standards it has to meet, in our own unit in G.B. Nagar — not bought in, re-boxed and shipped on.

One cap, one cut-out
Lamps are B22, battens replace a tubelight end to end, downlighters share a cut-out across Eco and Prime. Upgrading a house does not mean rewiring it.
